The Undisputed Queen of Soul

I didn't really know what to expect going into this show. I'm familiar with a fair amount of Aretha's music (as anyone should be), but I didn't know what to expect from a live show this late in her career. How is her voice holding up? What is her stage presence like? What will the crowd be like? So many questions to be answered.
Needless to say, the night was amazing. NJPAC is a beautiful theatre and the sound there is nothing short of spectacular. Our seats were pretty high up, but the sound made it feel like we were sitting in the 10th row.
She played everything I wanted to hear and more. Her voice sounds great, especially for being in her early 70s. Her stage presence is still strong-- she makes sure everyone knows she is the undisputed Queen of Soul.
Setlist: (Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher, Day Dreaming, Oh Me Oh My, Think, A Natural Woman, Don't Play That Song, I Remember, Old Landmark, Midnight Train to Georgia, My Cup Runneth Over, I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You), Freeway of Love, Respect, The Way We Were
