Scored a pit ticket at noon off the ticketmaster app. Forgot to download the app pre-tour so had to scramble to wifi from some random upstate NY lake town after i heard about a re-re on twitter, safari wasn't letting me through. I took scenic byway 20 most of the way once i got to NY from CT. Say what you will about MacDonalds but they provide the best free wifi i know of, saved the day. Funny thing was i am not a pit fan usually but i hit best available and it popped up, i thought about changing it to pavilion only but i didn't want to be the guy that tossed back a pit ticket and then got shut out. Alas the the pit was amazing. Really intense security kept the numbers where they should be, which is good for dance space. Saw many ejections and there was basically no smoking around me. Venue is beautiful, heard lots of stories about how bad the land is that it's build on, but i tried to focus on the show and such. Intense rocking show. So many bust outs and rarities. Jamming not so much, but the Drowned second set opener was serious if that is your thing. I used to only be happy with big jam shows but i've embraced my love of all things phish and if they want to play a bunch of rockers i will happily dance till i can't stand up anymore. Martian Monster got crazy with rotation jamming. Seeing Page dig into the bass makes me smile. I am a stat geek and i just saw that this MM put me in the 50% club. I'm sure i won't be there for long since i'm not hitting anything out west this tour, but I've seen 6 of 12 which matches my other highest 50% club in most times played, that being "Friday". I live in fear that they will bust it out when i am not there.
