Like Phish.net said "Phish finally decided to show up to their own tour." Philly night two can only be described as incendiary. From a killer slow Llama (which I will admit has finally grown on me, I usually prefer my Llama to be of the swift variety) to a gorgeous Reba that had the audience floating on cloud 9. Set one ended with a raucous Weekapaug that left this fan searching for his seat come setbreak.
Set two kicked off with a Crosseyed and Painless to be remembered, only to be followed later by not one but two song debuts. Tide turns has some of the sweetest love song lyrics the boys have ever written. All sets need a bathroom song and BDTNL was my chance to sit down and smoke a bowl. Just as I got comfortable out came the accapela mics and with it a phenomenal rendition of Dem Bones (who says phish can't sing?!) After a short commercial break the boys came back to drop a mellifluous Dear Prudence, Page truly does the Beatles justice on this one. Harry Hood closed out the night leaving us all feeling pretty pretty good <insert Larry David voice here>. Thanks boys for doing that voodoo that you do so well.
