Steve Morse band opened. Morse joked that his lyrics couldn't be censored because he had none and played some great instrumentals. I had no clue who was in Kansas at that point, but was relieved when Rags appeared with violin in hand and started playing. Kansas really functioned best with a violin player. Walsh, Ehart, Williams, Greer, Morse and Robert joined him and the place rocked. Williams looked like pirate-like in black while Walsh did some trademark handstands. Great violin "duet" between Morse and Rags on Dust. Walsh was a bit more subdued the next time I saw the band in 1999.
