Honoring the Purple One

We are all hurting today.
The Associated Press confirmed Prince passed away on April 21, 2016 at age 57. We at Fans are distraught by the news of his departure at his Paisley Park estate, only a week after he was hospitalized for “flu-like symptoms.” As reverberations of the Purple One’s passing echo throughout the music community, we want to take a moment to realize how lucky we are to have lived at the same time as Prince.
As a tribute, we’ve collected a few clips from a few of the brightest stars in music that demonstrate the depth of his influence.

Amidst a series of unfortunate losses across the musical landscape, our condolences go out to everyone else that feels the way we do right now. We want to leave you with a quote from the Purple One himself, from “Let’s Go Crazy”. May his legacy continue to be a blessing.
“Dearly beloved
We are gathered here today
To get through this thing called life
Electric word life
It means forever and that's a mighty long time
But I'm here to tell you
There's something else
The after world
A world of never ending happiness
You can always see the sun, day or night”
(Prince, “Let’s Go Crazy”)
