Powerfully great show! I had never been to Boulder, much less the Fox, it was tiny and intimate as advertised. The band really seemed to be in good spirits with Les being in a fairly chatty mood, at one point discussing the t-shirts the folks in front were wearing and commenting that he hadn't seen a Mentors shirt in years. Really solid 2 set show, my recollection is that everything was pretty well jammed out. The 'Frizzle Fry' opener set a great tone as they ended up playing 5 songs off that album throughout the evening while sprinkling the set with a nice variety of other eras, and even teasing a new song ('Seven'). A couple of highlights included a nice Nature Boy, a jammed out American Life, Lee Van Cleef, Grapevine and a thunderous version of Tommy the Cat featuring Les on the 6 string fretless bass ... which he informed us is a rarity these days.
