サワソニ Vol 14

SAWA has been one of my favorite Japanese artists for quite a while with some interesting music videos that I'll post one of below. I'm in Japan for a month so I was lucky that SAWA happened to be playing several shows during my trip. This concert was insanely long; I've attached the "set list" which is actually a list of artists that are playing. I arrived at 2 pm and left at around 9:30 pm.
It was interesting to see the concert culture of Japan. I had thought it would be pretty relaxed but a lot of people were dressed in band shirts and had their band towel wrapped around their necks. The band towel is for wiping away sweat, swinging around in the air, and displaying fandom. The concert venue was pretty small and the area in front of the stage was filled with people dancing constantly. Some of the dances that the fans do here seem pretty alien to me, but I also haven't been to a lot of concerts in the US either.
After SAWA played her set, they played a video about the next volume of サワソニ which seems to be an ongoing concert series with a lot of indie artists. She then came back out in her Halloween costume which was Frieza from Dragon Ball Z and sang some more songs as Frieza.
After the concert was over the artists set up tables to sell their own merchandise. I got a free CD from Caramel and accidentally bought their band towel; all of their fans who were hanging around cheered. It was a strange experience. So I kept the towel instead of correcting the mistake; it's a pretty cool towel and I liked caramel's music. I love how relaxed the artists were about meeting their fans.
I also got my picture with Sawa dressed as Frieza and also a picture with Caramel.
