Fans.com VIP Meet and Greet with The String Cheese Incident
This past Sunday, I was honored and humbled by the winning of VIP Meet and greet Tickets with one of the world’s preeminent Jam bands, The String Cheese Incident. I headed up to Brooklyn, NYC from Virginia as soon as I learned about the tickets and got backstage before the show. Their tour manager greeted me backstage and prepared me for what was to come. With my show poster ready, I got the nod to come into the rehearsal room with SCI, where I was lucky enough to ask them a few questions concerning “Bollymuster,” one of my favorite Cheese songs which I posted about here: https://fans.com/posts/10185 Bill Nershi himself told me that I was correct in my assumption that this song is actually a hybrid.
After discussing “Bollymunster” with the band they asked me what song I wanted to hear them play, just for me. I was flabbergasted and taken aback, so much so that I simply responded “Play whatever you guys want.” I sat back in awe as they played “Hobo Song” just for me. After the rehearsal rendition of “Hobo Song” the band signed my poster and we took pictures together. This was by far one of the coolest experiences of my life. I would not have been able to do this without the help of Fans.com and Jacyln for hooking me up! I encourage every one of you to sign up for Fans.com and get to posting; you never know what good things could come your way. Full review of the show and experience coming soon!
Thanks again to Fans.com, Jacyln, Dan and The String Cheese Incident for making this happen, Dreams do come true!
