About Photos with Stories

JAY BLAKESBERG TO HOST PHOTOS WITH STORIES: THE ROCK AND ROLL PHOTOGRAPHY OF HERBIE GREENE ON SUNDAY, MAY 17 AT 2PM ET ON FANS.COM

Want to hear the fascinating untold stories behind some of rock’s most iconic photos? On Sunday, May 17 at 2PM ET, you’ll have the chance to get behind Herbie Greene’s legendary lens with a photography exhibit and live Q&A.

The 1960s birthed a cultural revolution that changed San Francisco forever, and it was fueled by the musicians that Herbie Greene photographed. Many of Greene’s photographs have become signature portraits of musicians and bands like Jefferson Airplane, the Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, Carlos Santana, Rod Stewart, and many others.

Fellow San Francisco-based photographer Jay Blakesberg will be our guide as we take a trip to the 1960s psychedelic underground with Herbie Greene.

Donations will be gratefully accepted to support the hardworking hourly staff at Port Chester’s historic rock palace, The Capitol Theatre.
