Last night, March 24th, Joe Russo's Almost Dead hit the stage for the start of the three night Freaks Ball, celebrating the web denizens of the NYC Freaks List. The completely sold out Brooklyn Bowl welcomed their hometown heroes with excitement and anticipation, and Almost Dead wasted no time getting into it.

Joe Russo's Almost Dead returned to their birthplace last night, kicking off a three night run at the Brooklyn Bowl in New York. The band, with bassist Dave Dreiwitz back on stage, rolled through a selection of Grateful Dead classics as well as some surprises along the way.

An Unlisted Freak's Take: Freaks Ball 16 This was a tough ticket. I knew it would be but had to try. Whenever Joe Russo's Almost Dead is playing I want to be there. Last Fall's three night run at the Brooklyn Bowl will forever be in my rotation of go to listens and memories remain fresh.
